Agilent HP 81000BA Bare Fiber Adapter

Used, very good physical condition, Agilent HP Bare Fiber Adapter for adapting bare fiber directly to an optical head from Agilent 8152XX and 8162XX optical heads. Sold as pictured.

The use of an optical head and the 81000BA adapter is the preferred method to make power measurements with bare fiber. To avoid any damage to the lens, ensure that the bare fiber end does not exceed the bare fiber adapter. At this distance between the bare fiber end and the sensor element, the best spot size is ensured.

Use heads for bare fiber, open beam, highly accurate absolute power measurements or (absolute and relative) high power measurements. All optical heads use large area (mostly 5mm diameter, but some are 3 mm) detectors. They can measure from connectorized fibers, bare fibers or open beam. The easy-to-use 81000BA bare fiber adapter, in conjunction with such a large detector, makes bare fiber measurements very easy and accurate.

Designed to interface with 125um cladding fibers.
