The thermo shrinking type of splice protection sleeves consists of three parts, the outer heat shrinkable tubing, the inner hot melt adhesive tubing and the strength member. Ther inner hot melt adhesive melts and adheres to the fiber and the outer tubing shrinks to completely encaspulate it. The strength member gives mechanical strength to the sleeve preventing bending and allowing the sleeves to be arranged in splicing trays conveniently.

  • Outer tube conforms to MIL-I 23053/5 class 2 standards.
  • Polyolefin Ethyl Vinyl Acetate copolymer bonds to the fiber and heat shrinkable outer tube to effectively encapsulate fusion splice.
  • Strength member made from "Full Hard" SAE 316 grade stainless steel; burr-free to avoid rupturing during shrinkage.
  • Corrosion resistance superior to grade 304 stainless steel, even in coastal environments.
  • Resistant to heat shocks, no cracking dripping or flowing.
  • Long term proven performance, exceeds industry standards with satisfied customers.
  • Preshrunk ensuring integrity of assembly during transporation; reduced shrink time during field installations increasing oven battery life.
