The CMA4000i Optical Test System is an all in-one test and measurement solution for network commissioning, fault location/restoration, maintenance and DWDM spectral analysis. Combining best in class OTDR and OSA performance, modular flexibility and ease-of use, the CMA4000i is the ultimate time saving system for increasing network performance while reducing the cost of measurement.

The All-In-One System CMA4000i can be configured as an  Optical Time-Domain Reflectometer (OTDR) with a Visual Fault Locator (VFL), Optical Power Meter and Light Source, or as a high resolution Optical Spectrum Analyzer (OSA) for DWDM systems. With its variety of functions, the CMA4000i clearly offers the best value for optical network installation, commissioning and maintenance applications.

When it comes to fiber optic testing, time is money. That's why we designed the Communications Media Analyzer CMA4000. It offers all the features of a mainframe OTDR in a rugged, economical, field-portable unit and its unique features make it better than other OTDRs. Intelligent software minimizes necessary steps to perform frequent functions, its multi-tasking ability allows the CMA4000 to test, analyze and display data faster than any other OTDR available. Plus, it has incredible deadzone, dynamic range performance, tri and quad-wavelength optics and is fully configurable. In other words, it's the only piece of equipment you'll need for all your basic fiber optic testing ---whether for installation, maintenance or fault location.

The programmable autosave lets you save test results on a hard drive or floppy in a format that makes sense for your network. When used in conjunction with our GN NetWorks Software, the CMA4000 can perform a variety of trace manipulations, such as trace overlay, graphing, batchprinting and bi-directional averaging reports.

The CMA4000 offers a test range of 21 to 46 dB, the highest dynamic range in the world. That means you can test longer lengths of fiber with greater resolution and less averaging time. Plus, with deadzones as short as 2.5 m, you can be sure you're getting complete and accurate data for your entire length of cable.
