Description

The RP 440 Optical Power Meter provides basic power measurements on fiber optic networks operating at 850nm, 1310nm, and 1550nm (RP 440/FTTx - 1310/1490/1550). The RP 440 measures optical power and displays the measurement in dBm according to N.I.S.T. traceable standards. The RP 440 also provides an audible alert when the incoming signal is a modulated 2kHz tone. This incoming tone may be generated by the companion TP 200 series Transmit PocketProbe or any external 2kHz optical source.

Use the RP 440 to check the output at the patch panel or the wall outlet. The RP 440 is also a useful tool for quick power measurements on the lab bench or to measure optical power on active fibers in the field. Connection to the fiber under test is made via the universal 2.5 mm adapter. Additional male or female connector adapter styles are available. A readily available battery providing over 1,000 operations powers the RP 440. LO BAT display alerts the user to replace the battery.
